Would you mind if I asked how far you were when you decided on switching? I think it all depends as well as what the "final" goal is for the OP.
If it's having a switch or having a second degree, or even a BSBA CIS and then a Masters in IT or something, it may be easier just to continue with the BSBA if they're so close to the finish line. I would highly recommend the BSBA CIS and then going for a BA CS or a Masters after the BSBA.
