Hey all, just wondering... Are there any other inexpensive certificates similar to the one mentioned here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...ality-deal
I am starting to search to add to my collection... I really like the certificate, I wonder if there are similar certificates, diplomas, or degrees that can be had for a similar price (other than the $130 + transcripts Pierpont BOG AAS of course)
I am not really looking for the cheapest or the freebies such as these ones below, but looking for something similar to what Pierpont BOG AAS or the inexpensive certificate above that provide a nice cover/holder, parchment, letter, etc.

https://www.degreeinfo.com/index.php?thr...ine.62214/

For the cheapies/freebies, I'd rather have those as JPEG or PDF and can print that out myself if needed. I'd like to have the better quality ones printed and shipped to me by the institution directly instead, even if it costs a little, as I like the holder, parchment, and have a letter or notice of completion.

I found many of the GetSmarter certificates to be of really nice quality in terms of printing, etc... I have one from U of Oxford and it looks great. It isn't very cheap, but the quality of the course was great + cohort was extremely qualified.

I know this post is old, but there are options for self-paced:
Penn Foster Career School - Nationally Accreditated
Ashworth College - Nationally Accreditated
Both offer non-credit certificates and diplomas, which can be done in a few days. Plus, they take ACE credit.
Blackstone Career Institute - Regionally Accreditated
Has easy diplomas and certificates, notably the certificate in leadership skills: https://blackstone.edu/leadership-skills/
It costs just $413 and consists of 5 modules and one multiple-choice exam, which I'm guessing is open book.
I don't know if they accept ACE credit. They do accept transfer credit, but it waives the cost of the transferred portion. You still have to do all the modules.
All of the certificates/diplomas from these schools look nice, especially Blackstone Career Institute.
California Coast University -
Accepts ACE credits and allows transferring in 50% for certificates. Has both undergraduate and graduate certificates.
NA and $170/credit hour. If you transfer in 2 courses, you will have 2 courses left which should amount to $1070.
You can pay upfront or unroll in a payment plan.
Payment plans - Pay $500 upfront then $150 per month, pay $300 upfront then $175 upfront.
You must be enrolled for at least 5 months before applying for graduation.
Nexford University - Nationally Accreditated
Costs $310/month
For-credit
Can do one course a month. The shortest certificate is Product Management which costs of 2 courses and the duration is listed as 3 months.
The total cost of the certificate would amount to $930 unless you are a Sophia Learning student, in which case you receive 25% off. The total cost then amounts to $697.50.

Posting this once is probably enough, no need to post it in multiple threads.

The California Coast University certificate would actually amount to $1020, my bad.

For Blackstone, I meant one multiple choice exam per module.

Has self-paced continuing education certificates. I haven't looked at all of them but from the ones I have seen, these are the cheapest at $199:

https://westraining.nu.edu/public/catego...Id=1011670 You have been asked multiple times not to post these to two threads. If you continue doing this, you should expect disciplinary action from a moderator.
In any case, the appropriate place to be posting the cheap ones of these would be in the *pinned* post at the top of this sub forum called something like " Free certificates and good deals ."

From my experience, finding the right program can be a game changer. I once felt lost while trying to figure out my next steps, but I discovered online resources that really helped. One that stood out was EduBirdie. They offer support with assignments and coursework, which is super useful if you’re managing a busy schedule. If you need help juggling coursework, check out their services here, which made a big difference for me when I was swamped with responsibilities.
Connecting with fellow students on forums has also been invaluable. Their insights helped me choose the best program and avoid pitfalls. Investing in these certificates paid off—new opportunities opened up for me. It’s incredible how a little extra effort can lead to significant career advancement! I’ve considered Penn Foster and Ashworth College for their flexible courses. Blackstone’s leadership skills certificate seems practical and affordable, too.

Ashworth, Penn Foster, and a few other institutions that are NA are somewhat worth it now as their credits (in the case of Penn Foster, Genesis University, etc) have either ACE or NCCRS recommendations for credit. Depending on your budget, time, etc... I would recommend these if you want to learn the material similar to a traditional college versus going the alternative credit option to quickly get the credits...
