I don't know where else to post this, but it looks like we can take not just 5 but up to 7 TECEPs now?! This was from ~12 minutes ago:
Quote:TESU’s TECEP Scholarship program is coming to an end! If you are considering a TECEP exam, now is the time to register as remaining funds are limited. We are also increasing the number of TECEP’s each student can take from 5 to 7. (emphasis added)
Thomas Edison State University has received a grant from the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education in New Jersey to offer scholarships for all New Jersey post-secondary students to engage in Prior Learning Assessment through TESU’s TECEP - Thomas Edison Credit by Exam Program.
While we started with more than $175,000 in scholarship money available, we are now down to only a few thousand, for students attending any New Jersey College or University to leverage TECEP Exams toward accelerating their degree completion pursuits.
TECEP exams are similar to final exams for college courses. Most have multiple-choice questions and some have short-answer or essay questions. They are graded on a Credit/No Credit basis and, by passing, you receive college credit.
This scholarship will fully fund the cost of up to 7 TECEP exams per person.
To learn more, please visit TESU’s TECEP website. This resource provides more information on the scholarship opportunity as well as directions on how you apply.
Should you have any questions, please contact the TESU Advising Team.
I already registered for the 5 TECEPs though. I wonder if I can still sign up for 2 more. The window for Sept. 2023 has already closed, so it must be available for Oct. 2023 perhaps? I'll check.
Also, if I don't take my 5 TECEPs before the scholarship fund runs out, will I have to pay for them? Or am I safe since I'm already registered and confirmed? I may have registered for the September term, but I still need more time to study and am planning to do them next month since it's still within the term.

I'm guessing this offer will be over once the money that was set aside for them is gone. Which based on that message will be soon, so I wouldn't wait to sign up.

The system will not let you sign up for more than 15 Credits without contacting Academic Advising. I am waiting for a response to see if I can add the last 2 TECEPs. If I can, that should put me about 2 or maybe 3 classes short of having the BSBA HR/Org Management completed if I happen to pass them all.

Hmm, even if those who signed up for Oct. 2023 may register earlier in time, do you think those who appeal to add 2 more TECEPs in the Sept. 2023 term will get priority? I signed up for 2 more TECEPs in Oct. 2023.
That brings me to another thing - I registered for 2 more TECEPs and saw that my balance was still $0. Woohoo! However, I decided to test it and tried to sign up for another TECEP to see if it'd update the balance or reveal that it was bugged. Even with 8 total registered TECEPs, my balance was still $0. And then I decided to push it further with having 10 total (5 in September, 5 in October), and my balance was still $0. This is just an error, right? I know they've capped it 7 TECEPs. I just wanted to make sure that it really wouldn't charge me for adding 2 more though.
In any case, I don't really have any purpose for adding more TECEPs. I think I'm already okay with my graduation plan.

I think they have someone auditing the TECEPs and charging students for ones that don't apply or if you go over your limit. I'd drop the extra TECEPs ASAP so they don't charge you.

They're dropping TECEP registrations that don't apply to an active academic degree/certificate program. Keep an eye on your registrations; one of mine was accidentally withdrawn even though it was filling a slot. Advising added it back right away.
If you want to take more TECEPs but don't have good places for the credits right now, contact advising ASAP to add some degrees or certificates.

Two more TECEPs added. I am not looking forward to any of this. I hate ProctorU.
