Has anyone received this?
Thomas Edison State University has received a grant from the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education in New Jersey to offer scholarships for all New Jersey post-secondary students to engage in Prior Learning Assessment through TESU’s TECEP - Thomas Edison Credit by Exam Program.
There is more than $175,000 in scholarship money available for students attending any New Jersey College or University to leverage TECEP Exams toward accelerating their degree completion pursuits.
TECEP exams are similar to final exams for college courses. Most have multiple-choice questions and some have short-answer or essay questions. They are graded on a Credit/No Credit basis and, by passing, you receive college credit.
This scholarship will fully fund the cost of up to 5 TECEP exams per person.
To learn more, please visit TESU’s TECEP website. This resource provides more information on the scholarship opportunity as well as directions on how you apply.
Should you have any questions, please email admissions@tesu.edu

I got that exact email and you beat me to posting about it. I couldn't find more info on applying to this TECEP scholarship, though. If anyone has more info for the free TECEP exams, I'd appreciate it as they could be a backup plan for me just in case.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that this doesn't apply if you're not living in NJ.

Never mind, I didn't pay attention to wording of the email. I guess it won't work for me.

Yes, neither did I.

"For the September 2023 Term, through a grant from the NJ Office of the Secretary of Higher Education, we are pleased to offer scholarships for up to 5 TECEP exams per student, for ALL currently enrolled TESU students.
- To use the scholarship funds, simply register for up to 5 TECEP exams through Self Registration and you will receive no charge.
- Please be sure to check with the TESU Advising Team to ensure that selected TECEP exams will fit your degree program before registering."
As an OOS student with no OL or GS course enrolled this Sep term, I registered for a TECEP as an experiment and so far my Total Account Balance is still $0.00! Looks like as long as you are a current student, you get the 5 FREE TECEPS whether you are NJ resident or not.

If it's free, I think I might as well give the dreaded Networking Technology TECEP a shot... I'll give it a think and figure out what else I wanna take.
Anyone else going to load up?

I also wanted to do the Network Technology TECEP along with Comparative Politics and College Algebra (Algebra should be easy for me, anyway, since I already did Calculus and I need it for the ASNSM in Math). In any case, I'll see what I can pass.
