How do colleges know if you're doing multiple degrees at the same time ?

This year, the University of California system — stung by an audit showing it was admitting few home-state students — opened up as many as 20,000 additional slots, which may have had a dampening effect on UO recruiting. A large number of UO students come from California, driven in the past in part by the difficulty of getting accepted in the University of California system.

Yes, they like the money that out-of-state and international students bring, so the taxpayers have been getting screwed for years, dumping money into a system that doesn't let our kids go there. Awesome.
