I have a friend who is interested in doing TESC, but she had trouble during high school dual-enrollment. She has the following grades:
*Pre-calculus with/Trigonometry- F
*Intro to Psychology I- C
*Acting I- B
*Intro to Psychology II- F
*College Composition I- D
*College Composition II- W
She wants to know if her Psychology I, Acting, and College Composition I credits will transfer to TESC. If so, as what kind of credits.
Also, she wants to know if medical schools will see the remaining credits when she applies to one. Do the credits on the TESC transcript appear as transfer, or do they appear as residential credits?
I also have a question: If I take enough exams to reach the 120 credits needed for a Liberal Arts degree at TESC, do I not get a GPA? How does that work out?
Thanks all!

Hello all,
I'm preparing to take a few test and just curious if those who are experienced at taking these test, which do you find the easiest to take, Dantes or Cleps?
Do you feel the questions and answers are worded differently? can anyone give some feed back?
thanks!

I have just discovered the world of CLEP and am happy to discover the IC forum.
I have a highschool student who will be using this board.
Does anyone have experience reducing the time for graduate level courses?
I need to take the following courses for a Reading specialist endorsement.
The college I have my M.Ed. through charges $350 per credit hour and it would be 2010 before I could complete the program. The school has gaps in the schedul so if you miss it in one cycle you have to wait for it to roll back around in two years.
I would like to complete this ASAP.
EDLA 521 Integrated Literacy 3 sh Fall 2008
EDLA 541 Literacy Assessment 3 sh Spring 2009
EDDT 581 Language and Culture 3sh Spring 2009 (online), Summer 2009 classroom
EDI 631 Word Study 1sh Spring 2009
EDPC 601 Practicum: Literacy 3sh Summer 2010
EDLA 551 Dev. Effective Reading Program 3sh Summer 2008 and 2010 (This year is Aug. 4-8.)
EDLA 531 Literacy in Community and Family Arenas 3 sh Spring/Summer 2010
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am taking the Freshman College Comp w/essay this week and wanted to see if anyone could tell me the difference between it and the Eng Comp test. Easier? Harder?
I looked in the Specific Exam Feedback but it doesn't look like many people take this exam and take the Eng Comp test instead...why?
This is my last exam and I saved my worst subject for last :-) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance ! ! ! !

We just posted up the Introduction to Computing DSST exam; it appears to have some overlap with the Information Systems and Computer Applications CLEP and the Management Information Systems DSST.
Please post up your results here and let us know how these new materials work for you!

I was interested in using ALEKS to study for Calculus. However there are other subject areas I'd like to study on there too. My question is when you subscribe are you only paying for one course at a time? Or, for the monthly fee do you get to take several at once or bounce between different subjects. Can someone shed some light on this for me? Thanks.
