Does anyone have a general idea of how long it takes to get an official evaluation from UMPI online. I filled out online application and sent transcripts from Ace and TESU. My application status is showing completed but I have not received an official evaluation. Also does UMPI online have a certain number of upper level classes that have to be taken thru them.

Right now is the mad rushing for applying to start the next term so it will take longer. There's 1 person who processes the transcripts and she works at 2 campuses. Yes, you will have to take a specific number of UL courses for your degree. The vast majority of them have to be completed at UMPI. This will all be on the sheet your academic advisor provides you with once your transcripts have been processed. It can take a few weeks. It's a very small school and like I said the person who analyzes the transcripts works at 2 different universities. Once processed, you'll be able to see them online and you will get a paper copy mailed to you on bright orange paper.

I just applied at the end of January and it took around 1.5 weeks to get my evaluation back.

I'm from South Africa and this school has just vanished, last year I was even trying to get some of my final exemplary records and I still have no managed it because they've just left SA all together it seems. I emailed them last night on the email on their website and received back a notification saying it didn't exist.
Thank you all so much, I understand that they want these Highschool transcripts I just have no idea how to send them. We don't request transcripts from our schools here.

May i ask how you sent it, was it from your school?
I just took a picture of the diploma and sent it to their edocs@maine.edu email I did that and nothing else was brought up about it.

I'm considering just finishing the ap and sending them myself and seeing what happens. Perhaps I shouldn't have brought it up with the specialist at all and done that from the start

Also I would explain your specific situation due to the pandemic and see If they would make an exception.
Yes they told me if I have more than 60 credits. No associate but more than 60 credits

College credits? As in RA credits. There are people who've applied and are enrolled who needed their high school transcripts. They transferred in over 60 credits but they are ACE credits.

Well I did it, I filled the application and sent in my Acclaim transcript and all my high school transcripts. I guess I'll see what happens later today. I hate this stuff tbh, of course I understand their requirements but I really just want to learn! Just take my money UMPI!

I wonder if UMPI's requirements can be "hacked" by taking a couple of TEL Learning classes for RA credit plus whatever ACE credit you have. It might cost a bit more that way but if you could do (say) 9 TEL credits plus Sophia and not have to deal with HS transcripts then that would still be more cost-effective than TESU. I'm not saying it will work, but it could be worth a try.
Another possible solution would be to try to get your transcript evaluated by an evaluator that allows self-sent transcripts. ECE allows self-sent transcripts, under some circumstances, at this present moment in time. Others might also do this. Again, it would be cheaper to not have to do that but it might be worth looking into if UMPI insists on a HS transcript that is sent by a school and you simply can't do that.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Most district offices for school districts are actually open. This usually includes transcript services. If your school is closed for COVID (mine is for example) the district office probably has someone there.

Question. Does anyone know the usual turn around time frame for UMPI to reply to emails? I emailed enrollment yesterday early morning with several questions and I have not heard back so far.
