Good morning! I’m looking for a bit of guidance. I am considering applying for an UMPI B.L.S. with a Management Minor.
Location: Georgia, United States
Age: 57
What kind of degree: I’m considering a BIL with Management Minor from UMPI, but I’m open to other ideas. This is more of a vanity project, so I don’t expect a financial POI. Therefore, the cheaper the better.
Current Regional Accredited Credits:
Liberty University - 12 credits BUSI 100Intro to Business 3B BIFO 150 Life of Christ/Early Church3B BIFO 151Life of Christ/Early Church 23B CCHI 301History of Christian Church3C

BUMM 612Marketing Mangement3Bx USMx EdX (One course from a now defunct MicroMasters "Core MBA")
Columbia University Specialization In Construction Managementnon-credit
I spent a bit of time on this and from what I can tell,if the CRJ credits from Community College transfer as lower level electives, I’ll basically have that box full. A few existing credits should transfer to cover some Gen Ed credits.
That would leave me with 18 hours for the minor and 21 hours of upper level electives.
I’m thinking that the following Sophia classes would then fit in:
English Comp 1 GOL 1a & d English Comp 2 GLO 1b, 2c, 4b
Art History 1 Art History 2 GLO 2e
College Algebra 3a,&b
Project Management (Minor) Business Communication (Minor) Intro to Ethics 4c & 5d Into to Sociology 5a
Will some kind soul take a glance at this and tell me if I’m heading in the right direction here?
@OchoNombres, Welcome to the board! Great intro post and template, but you missed the addendum, you're pretty much half way through the Bachelors at UMPI! Do you want to get an associates on the way to your Bachelors? You can add the AALS as a second program at UMPI and 'forget it' as your residency credits will finish that associates.
You need to get the max transferred from Sophia.org for your general education and electives, plus a language class you're missing, 90+ credits. Here's the recommendation or suggestion, get up to 90 max transferred to UMPI with your current credits plus Sophia.org language (Spanish I, unless you want to try French I). Create a spreadsheet...

@bjcheung77 Thanks so much for the input! I followed the links in your signature and am blown away by the amount of detailed information. What a generous group of folks around here!
The missing addendum info is below.
Budget: I have approximately $5k allocated. Commitments: Work (full time), grandkids, church activities Dedicated time to study: 2 hours per day, six days per week Timeline: No rush, however if I drag it out too long, I'll lose interest. I'm good for maybe 1.5 years before I lose focus. Tuition assistance/reimbursement: None

Is this AALS also able to be added to a non BLS degree plan? I'm seriously thinking about the BAS degree they have available, but being able to pick up this AALS in a different concentration to my career would be a nice vanity point.
AALS can be added to any Bachelors degree you're looking at, it doesn't have any specific degree requirement for the general education or general business concentration. If you have specific concentration or emphasis, you can take those classes if you want, such as for example, math/science classes if you want a concentration in math/sciences.

Good afternoon from snowy North Georgia!
Would some kind soul be willing to look at the attachement and tell me if I'm good to apply now?
From what I can tell, of the courses that I lack but plan on taking from somewhere other than UMPI are complete, with the exception of Spanish 1, which I will begin on Sophia this weekend.
On the attached spreadsheet, the courses in red font are the ones I think I'm lacking and will take from UMPI, while the courses in black font have been completed at somewhere else.
Thanks in advance and please let me know if more information is needed.

Merged your thread, this will provide extra info for readers. I suggest you apply, get transcripts evaluated, and then update the spreadsheet when you get an academic evaluation highlighting what is missing. You can then see what you can transfer in to max out that 90 credits and decide on what classes you want to take at UMPI to finish off the degree...
