Hi folks,
Could someone please share the updated degree plan for BLS in MIS? I’m specifically looking for the BLS in Management Information Systems only, not the BLS in Project Management & Information Systems.
I’ve found the plan for PM & IS, but I’m interested only in the MIS minor. If anyone has an updated degree plan that reflects the recent changes or has experience with this specific track, please share it.
Thanks!

Basically, Sophia.org/Study.com may have been affected for their classes that can transfer into the major/minors. Thus, you're going to transfer all the general education and electives, and complete the major/minor at the institution. That's the only difference, all the plans remain the same, or with the same recommendations except for the major/minor.
Please fill in the addendum and template, for reference, your previous thread:

Here's a thread you want to review as well, especially re-read the last post:

(9 hours ago)Thanks for sharing this here! Yes, previously I was planning to pursue the BABA in Project Management & Information Systems. However, due to the recent UMPI changes, I decided to drop that plan because it now requires around 13 courses to be taken at UMPI. I was originally planning to complete only 10 courses, as I want to finish the degree in one term due to budget constraints. Here’s my filled Addendum for your reference: Wrote:
- Your Location: Pakistan (International Student)
- Your Age: 23
- What kind of degree do you want?: BLS in Management Information Systems
- Current Regionally Accredited Credits: N/A
- Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits: I currently have 61 credits from Sophia.org, including credits toward GED requirements (4 courses pending) and other courses in Business Administration and Project Management concentration, which were part of my previous plan for the BABA PM & IS degree. I can share the full list of courses if needed.
- Any certifications or military experience?: I hold the CompTIA Security+ SY0-701 certification.
- Budget: $2,000 (One-term budget only. The goal is to complete all 10 courses in a single term at UMPI to meet residency requirements and graduate with my degree.)
- Commitments: I work about 10 hours a day, but it’s remote work from home, so I can manage my study time.
- Dedicated time to study: Planning to block 2 hours per day for studying.
- Timeline: I’ve already submitted my application for Fall I. The document submission deadline for this intake is August 12, 2025, and classes start on September 2, 2025.
- Tuition assistance/reimbursement: N/A – Self-funded
Let me know if you have any questions. Also, if you can suggest a degree plan based on the information I’ve shared above, that would be incredibly helpful. Thanks again for all the great work you're doing for this community!
