Textbook rental?
#1
I am looking for the textbook for SL Chemistry and its expensive, like over $100., plus the cost of the lab kit at $100. I found tons of sites (cheaper than BN.com) that offer textbook rental. I found one for $48 for 130 days. Anyone ever rented textbooks thru an online company?

Buy the book from half.com or used from Amazon. Keep it as long as you need, highlight it if you want. When you are done with it, sell it on half.com.

I ended up going thru Chegg for 48.00 until June 2. eCampus is cheaper on some other books that I looked up, but they were much higher on this one, 73.00 for this one.

I am doing it for the first time. I think the site is eCampus.
It's $40 for the stats book, brand new for 130 days. It retails for around $100.
I usually wouldn't rent, and have always bought my books, but for each subsequent edition I find that the book is significantly different and I would rather pay $40 now than risk getting less than half of my $100 investment on a book I foresee changing my the time I'm ready to sell.

I suggest CollegeReads.com: Rent College Textbooks | Cheap Textbook Rentals

It was quick and easy and I didn't pay much. I ordered my books and they showed up on time, I then returned them with their free pre-paid label.

Good luck!

textbooks.com or barnes and noble both have rental options.

Also check out coursesmart.com, they "rent" digital copies of most textbooks pretty cheap.

And of course... check the library, I've found a few of my courses books that way.
