Pierpont associates Query
#1
Been watching forum for a few years but never registered.  Been doing ACE & RA Coruses for a few years in and off mainly for fun.  Saw that Pierpont had potentially changed their rules re international students and thought it might be worth a punt.  Can anyone clarify if there is anything I’m missing and if so what before I apply.
Below is that RA & ACE credit I currently have.

For Pierpont, looks like you could do History (you have 3 history classes and 2 art history classes) or Humanities as an AoE.

For a bachelors, UMPI is a great choice. Here are links to several degree plans to explore - it's $1700/8 week term beginning in the fall. You will want to narrow down further based on interest:

So I have completed a few more courses since I started this thread most listed in the second list of courses listed via the template. (I’m mainly completing these courses for fun with the possible future use towards a bachelors assuming I go down that route.) I’ve now also completed 2 more 3 credit modules being managerial accounting 85% & introduction to chemistry 88%. Bringing me to a RA total of 7 Cr & 83 ACE Credits. I hope to also complete Introduction to Statistics Tomorrow followed by Principles of Finance & Anatomy and Physiology II in the next week or so.

If as people have suggested I already have enough to meet the minimum requirements for the pierpont associates would it still be worth sending a new credit transcript in to pierpont once I have completed these and if so should I wait until I have received my letter and got set up with the student account or can I submit a new transcript now (assuming I even should).

On the application portal I have been notified I’ve been accepted and been told a letter is coming. Anyone know roughly how long that takes?

No, don't waste time with Pierpont, if you have all your general education and over 60 credits that 'graduate' you already, let it all go accordingly. As I mentioned in my earlier reply, work on the second journey of the Bachelors. I suggest the UMPI degree options for you, be it the BLS or BABA options, make sure to take 3-4 classes that go towards the |MAOL if you ever wanted to do the Masters at UMPI as well.

Does having an Associate "count" for anything in the UK? I'm not clear whether it counts as some university or a certain diploma level or what. If having an Associate might help you in the future, and you have the spare cash, I would go ahead with Pierpont. You never know if your Bachelor studies will be interrupted by unforeseen circumstances, after all.

For the letter, students in the US usually receive it after about a week. For the UK, I would give it about 2 weeks. If you haven't received it after 2 weeks, I would make arrangements to call their student support office during working hours. You can use an app like Dingtone, TextFree, etc. to allow you to make an international call for free/cheap.

From what I can find out an US associates degree is taken to be roughly equivalent to a Higher National Certificate HNC (College) or a Certificate of Higher Education CertHE. (University) which is achieved after 1 year of Higher Education.
