I have two associate's degrees. I can't imagine why anyone would make it an objective, however. (Both of mine were incidental.)

He seemed rather argumentative, obtrusive and quite suspicious-minded, by nature. I'm pretty sure (and others agreed) that he was mentally ill - but not intellectually impaired. I'm not suggesting IN ANY WAY anyone is mentally ill here - but why do two associates when you can do --- something else, that would be more to your advantage? You CAN do two (or more) associate degrees - but you CAN'T get any of that TIME back. He has about a half-dozen RA Bachelor's degrees from well-known RA schools. He has several RA Masters degrees and has done doctoral study. It appears he has not been employed for almost two decades.(08-02-2022, 07:46 PM)midnite123 Wrote: Hi, Suggestion to midnite123. if you absolutely MUST - then OK get two associate degrees. But DON'T start a collection - whatever you do!

Many schools will not let you complete more than 2 associate degrees. If this is the guy I remember reading about, he worked at a college as janitor or maintenance worker. He took all of these classes because he could do them for free. I don't know why the college keeps issuing him degree after degree. Kind of makes on wonder about the school. I think the man you're talking about, who worked at the school where he earned many degrees, was Michael Nicholson and he had about 29 degrees, most at Master's level. All at the same school, I believe while working there, in maintenance jobs. Free tuition was a benefit. He did his job, used the benefit, completed the degrees - so why should / how could they stop him? He's here: https://abcnews.go.com/US/michigan-man-2...d=16597200 I was talking about another guy. I don't remember any school jobs on his CV. I don't believe he listed ANY jobs in the last 18 years. He got about 8 associates at a local Junior College (CC), several more at each of two others then a bunch of Bachelors and Masters at all kinds of known RA schools. I didn't give this other guy's name. I think he's the kind who might come after someone, nuisance lawsuits etc.

Hi
The reason I was looking into 2 associate degrees, is because I figured i would go for an AA at Clovis using financial aid. And at Pierpont I would just use sophia like was recommended, to get any needed credits for an AAS degree. My most likely next move would be a Bachelors at the U of Maine, or TESU. Just formulating the beginning of a strategy. in September it looks like I will be taking 6-12 credits at Clovis to get the ball rolling. i already have 30+ RA credits, so I might try to start a few credits at Pierpont also. I am going to fill in the puzzle pieces as i go, but i might just get an AAS at Pierpont, at the end of the day???? One thing I wanted to say is, THANK YOU ALLVERY MUCH, for all the GREAT answers and Advice!!!

The only way I would recommend two associates degrees, is if the first is generic like applied science and now you want a technical degree like nursing or physical therapy asst. or something of that nature. Or a trade like electrical technology.

Save that financial aid for UMPI! You can use it there.
