Got a notice from my UPS box that I just got a diploma in the mail via UPS. Neat. I'm in California if anyone is interested.

I think I'll go for this Pierpont AAS, but only if I can get the right "area of emphasis".
I have:
Sophia's Introduction to Info Technology (3 cr) for my computer literacy requirement,
TEEX Cyber Security for Business Professionals (the 2 cr version),
TEEX278 Cyber Ethics (2 cr),
TEEX279 Info Security for Everyone (1 cr).
That is, I'm guessing, 8 credits good towards the Information Systems Technology AOE.
If I do:
TEEX277 Cyber Law.... (2 cr),
TEEX280 Network Assurance (1 cr),
TEEX281 Digital Forensics Basics (1 cr),
TEEX282 Info Security Basics (1 cr), and
TEEX283 Secure Software (1 cr),
that's 6 more IST credits, so I'm still 1 credit shy, right?
IF that is correct, can you think of an easy/cheap way to get that last credit?
I have enough credits to get a business admin AOE, if Pierpont offers that, but the biz admin would be pointless for me. I'm not very close on any other AOE. Thought of doing the Google IT Support cert because it's low-cost, but it requires too much time.
Also, I will be doing some Study.com courses later this spring, so the fallback option is to do a $70 add-on IT course.

The Google IT course is easy if you have enough experience. I finished it during the free trial. I think it took me 5 days from start to finish.

Even if you don't have a lot of experience, the Google cert isn't that difficult either. I wager most people here would be able to get it done in under a month, with a good number of people being able to do it during the free trial week. 3 credits (TESU) or 10 credits (Pierpont) for $50 is still a good deal.

Has anyone here succeeded in getting an area of emphasis in something other than what the college offers for degree or certificate programs?
Say, something different like math, history, or psychology?
