(1) I explained that in my experience, the main reason people can't produce an academic transcript is that they are not in financial/good standing with the bursar's account - something that will be assumed about me if I am asked and can not produce a transcript easily and immediately.
(2) While the letter will work today, it's based only on Nancy's term of employment. If Nancy leaves, I may not be able to verify my credentials.
(3) Future college, if I pursue it, will ask me to disclose this degree - a degree that I can't verify. If I choose not to disclose, besides being unethical, I put my future degree in jeopardy.
I have not decided whether or not my son should go forward without a transcript, I'm going to wait and see how this plays out over the next few days.
So, it's been 2 weeks - still NOTHING. I don't know if it's more frustrating being told no or being ignored?!?

I was all excited you got a response. Not to fan the flames or anything but I did ask Nancy about this one-credit class and what kind of transcript I would receive. This is the response I received.
"Exploring Careers, HUSV 1101, 1-credit would definitely count. It is a letter grade class, too.
One Pierpont class will ensure a Pierpont transcript with all credits completed from all other transcripts you've submitted."

Here's a question:
Could a person who is not interested in the BOG AAS take the one credit class and then transfer a bunch of credits into Pierpont to get them onto a transcript?

I think we discussed this on another thread. It's quite expensive to do this - I think it was something like $432 for that 1-cr class if you're out of state (maybe something close to that?).
If you just want a bunch of credits on a transcript, you're much better off to apply to TESU ($75), send your transcripts, take a 1cr LL TECEP ($25) or a 3cr LL TECEP ($75) or even the 1cr cornerstone ($300), and then you have a transcript with all your stuff. Somewhere in the range of $100-$375 for the exact same thing you'd be paying $432 for at Pierpont. AND, you can print your own transcript or request it online and know that it will actually come when you want it. AND it's on a 4yr State School rather than a CC (if that matters).

That alone would be a good enough reason to go with TESU if you're not going for the BOG AAS. The "we sent your transcript" BS from Pierpont cost me 3 months of run around getting into WGU.

I have to admit that was more than I expected. Here's to hoping they go through with it.
