I got the same email and signed up already! For $9/3 credits, it's awesome! These are perfect for individuals in the USA who are starting off and are wanting to go with CLEP/Modern States or Saylor and want an alternative option or to take courses that are not offered at CLEP/Saylor. There are a couple of courses that interest me, their Intro to Comp Sci is actually a Python Programming course, they've got the Introduction to Robotics, and a couple of other interesting ones.
Goals: TESU BSBA GM (Added CIS) and BA Computer Science
BSBA GM - Added CIS AOS (CIS & GM completed)
BACS & Grad Plans (BACS instead of BALS w/NSM)
AAS ACS & ESST: Remaining - Associate Capstone
ASNSM CS: Completed, ASNSM Math: Remaining - Calculus I
Taking a majority of credits at Sophia.org, SL, and Study.com to finish these degrees
Updating my courses remaining by following forum advice, guide, spreadsheet & wiki

I signed up for Intro to Computer Science. Anyone else getting an error when trying to watch the videos?
"Please reactivate your library membership in 'My Memberships' under your Profile settings. (Err: PLAYER_ERR_USER_IDENTITY_INACTIVE)"
This might be because I'm running Chrome in Linux. Will check in Windows as soon as my system finishes updating.

That's interesting. I watched the first video of the computer science course earlier with no issues. It may giving you that message because I think they are using the platform Kanopy (for that video)which is often times offered through library memberships. However, I never signed up for Kanopy, so I would be getting the same error message too if that were the case.

I would assume per transcript since it's stated on their site under Transcript and FAQS pages:
You should only request your transcript when you’ve finished completing courses with OnlineDegree.com, and wish to send those results to the university or college you’re applying towards. The official transcript is only sent to your university/college, and isn’t sent to you personally. When you have completed all the courses, and know which university you should send the results to, use our Transcript Request Form to request it.
- Wait until you are finished taking courses: If you still have more courses you would like to take at OnlineDegree.com then you should wait until all of them are completed so your transcript will accurately show all of the courses.

The $40 is for Excelsior College to print your Onlinedegree transcript on their letterhead. According to their transcript YouTube video,
“Many universities insist that a transcript come from another university. Since many universities insist that a transcript come from another accredited university, having Excelsior create your transcript increases the likelihood of your eventual university accepting it. That’s why we are partnered with them. They only charge me $40 fee and we think it is well worth the money .” https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=y0MrYm9NiVE
What is the difference between this and credit laundering? It sound odd to me.
They also say they have two options for transricpt (but only one they recommend.) I can’t find option #2 anywhere on their website.

I get the error when I try to watch it on my iPad, but it works fine on my computer using chrome.

I still haven't tried on Windows yet...but there seems to be a running theme here. Also, didn't Study.com try to do the same thing with Excelsior transcripts a little while back?

I have doubts that other schools will accept them on the Excelsior transcript. It should work for employment and maybe some regulatory requirements, but schools are going to want to evaluate the credits themselves, as we saw when Study.com tried this.
NanoDegree: Intro to Self-Driving Cars (2019)
Coursera: Stanford Machine Learning (2019)
TESU: BA in Comp Sci (2016)
TECEP:Env Ethics (2015); TESU PLA:Software Eng, Computer Arch, C++, Advanced C++, Data Struct (2015); TESU Courses:Capstone, Database Mngmnt Sys, Op Sys, Artificial Intel, Discrete Math, Intro to Portfolio Dev, Intro PLA (2014-16); DSST:Anthro, Pers Fin, Astronomy (2014); CLEP:Intro to Soc (2014); Saylor.org:Intro to Computers (2014); CC: 69 units (1980-88)

Isn’t that similar to how TESU does it with their credit banking transcript?

Yes, and I wouldn't expect other schools to accept transfer credit "second hand" off the TESU transcript, either. It's mainly useful for employers that want to see that you've taken something in particular. It might work grad school prerequisites in some cases. I also think for cases like CPA licensing, for instance, having the credits on something like this could be useful, but not for transfer.
I would love to be proven wrong, but I think I'm right.
However, any school that accepts NCCRS should accept OnlineDegree's transcript directly.
