ENEB & Mexican PhD Questions

Actually, you're referring to the same program, they have two programs on display, at the bottom of the page, you can see the following on both of them (when translated from Spanish to English in Google Chrome).  "Students can also obtain the double degree from San Miguel University."

1) DBA - https://www.emagister.com/excellent-prog...873804.htm
2) PHD (HR) - https://www.emagister.com/estudiar-docto...885563.htm

Here's a recent evaluation, which I knew would have gone through properly from Validential evaluating it as equivalent to RA.  I am looking to see if another NACES member would evaluate things differently, I haven't seen any IFCS evaluations yet for any degree, no one on the board used them as they're a newer member from last year.

I just checked their website and find out how to obtain degree from San Miguel Uni. I think you should add another 1k USD for expenses fees. But with total fee of 3k usd for a Phd degree, it is a good deal Smile

I see a lot of people confuse and ilusionated about this, so let me clarify my understanding of it.
It is a "titulo propio", be aware.
The country of Mexico does not recognize it as a PhD, and to be a valid academic title there you have to have some prerequisites. If not in Mexico do not say you are a Doctor... you will be misrepresenting yourself in my opinion. Education in Mexico is regulated and like in Spain the universities can give titles with the only backing of the university name. This does not mean you have the academic degree or level of education belonging to the official name, which is regulated by a law.
In mexico if you want a PhD has to be a "Titulo/grado de Doctor en XXXX" or "Doctor en XXXX" that is the proper way to be be called a PhD in Mexico. The studies needs a valid RVOE and be recognized by the "Secretaria de Educacion Publica".
DBA or PhD per se are not protected names in mexico ( as many other countries) and mean nothing other than what you want to infer from them.
If you say you have a PhD degree... in the hopes that somebody understand that is a level of doctorate (PhD) in the academic world in Mexico you are misrepresenting yourself.
Please read the text in special this sentence:
"El Título que se extiende es de carácter Propio Privado." The expedited title has a own private character. Yes I translated literally, is weird but is to remark the words or "own" and "Private". This mean that the university make you a paper with the only backing of themselves and that does not fulfill the legal requirements to be an official recognized degree. Is not bad, as it shows that a university recognizes your work. But is not the same as having a PhD.

These are likely to be evaluated as post-graduate studies certificates or possibly a Doctorate coming from a regionally accredited school / non-accredited program. Rather someone wants to call themselves a Dr. with these degrees is a matter of logistics. A vast majority of those in industry will view these as legitimate Doctorate degrees. Academia would be a different story as depending on the institution would recognize these as continuing education graduate credits but the titles wouldn't be honored.

Guys, my ECE evaluation results for ENEB&Ui1 are in. It is considered equivalent to a three-year undergraduate degree in the United States. But unlike many before me, each of my courses was considered a 2.75 Credit, not a 2.5 Credit.

@Lorvey, Congrats, you can use these credits for transfer into a Bachelors or as prerequisites towards the Masters of your choice!

Thank you.. Big Grin If it is used for undergraduate transfer credits, can 2.75 credit courses also be accepted? After all, the normal course is 3 credits, for UMPI.

Yeah, you just need to make up the missing credit totals with classes you want in the electives area, they most likely won't give you 3 credits for them, but it should take the requirement spot. Each institution is different, most likely, you'll need to make up the missing credits with the electives area.
