MS in Education or anything
#1
Hi. I have a bachelors in Physical Education from another country and I want to get a Masters in anything, preferably in education related in the USA (I live in the USA currently). What MS can be done the cheapest/ fastest online?

Addendum & Template (answer in brief, compact, concise phrases - don't need long sentences):
Your Location: USA
Your Age: 40
What kind of degree do you want?: a MS degree to check a box, but education or psychology preferred
Current Regional Accredited Credits: None
Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits: None
Any certifications or military experience?: No
Budget: 2-7k
Commitments:
Dedicated time to study: 15 hrs a week, possibly more
Timeline: as fast as possible
Tuition assistance/reimbursement: none

It’s also better if there are no proctored tests as I still struggle some with English and sometimes need to look up words in the dictionary

UMPI MA organizational leadership might fit up your ally. It's not education but its cheap $2350 per term ( I believe you get 8 weeks to take and complete as many classes as you can) also has no proctored exams only papers.

If not you can look into WGU competency based masters programs, same concept but not sure if they have exams.

American College of Education offers numerous masters degrees in education and other fields.

My first thought had been the American College of Education as well, but most master's degree offerings might be beyond the stated budget range.

If you'll accept nationally accredited options, I've been eyeing Acacia University for a year or more now. You could do something like their MA in Secondary Education for just over 5k dollars:

Their website is currently down, but it might be worth bookmarking the University of Pasadena as well, which had a Master of Education degree for around 2,500 dollars as I recall. They're also nationally accredited.

@aml7, It's great you're filling in the addendum and template with very basic info, but you're not providing sufficient info. We don't really need to know your personal details, but without knowing the country where your previous degree was from, and/or how it got evaluated by a AICE or NACES member institution, we won't know if you're even qualified or have the prerequisites for entry into a NA or RA masters. I would review posts, threads, and WIKI for programs...

My recommendation is, provide us that detail, plus anything the evaluation gives you. I get many private messages from people who have gotten a previous degree, but they're not accredited, people keep wanting to apply for a Masters or higher, and that's the very first thing I ask them. Sometimes a second or third time before they actually reply indicating the evaluation came up notifying the prospective student, the degree was from an unaccredited institution.

Acacia at one time required grad students to be working educators with regular access to k-12 age classrooms. Do not know if that is still a requirement or not. Otherwise, I would second the ACE degrees, although they are on the high end of the OP's budget.

I thought we determined a few months ago that Pasadena had closed. ?? (they were a .org website and not a .edu which for me was a red flag anyway )

If a degree not education related is acceptable, my cheap suggestion is the $3,000 MBA from American Hellenic University. (I know there are several threads on that program already) The benefit for this degree is twofold... 1) price. 2) Regionally accredited

Pasadena's site is down, but last we checked they're still listed as accredited by DEAC.

So barring their total disappearance, I've left them in my bookmarks with the hopes that they'll still return? It might be excessively wishful thinking, but I'd hate to see a newly accredited school just disappear off the map without explanation.

If they had been granted accreditation, they would be eligible for a .edu website. ... anyone check the address and swap .edu for .org in the search bar?
