Hi all,
I was thinking of starting an online MBA last year, and I'm continuing research now. I work 2 jobs that I love but are time costly lol so online (asynchronous classes in particular as my "off" hours are sometimes odd) is a must for me. Money is another huge factor. My dream would be to keep it under $15k as I'll be going out of pocket.
I'm familiar with WGU and LSUS; those are two I'm keen on. Someone just sent me a message that the American College of Education has an MBA for just over $8k USD. Anyone have experiences with this school? I saw some reddit posts that said ACE can be geared toward teachers; I'm not a teacher but I work in a somewhat similar realm with kids books.

MBAs are a dime a dozen. Personally if I’m spending ANY money I would choose to attend one with at least a tiny bit of a reputation.
ACE is not one of those.

ACE is a solid choice. I tried taking a course there a while back but withdrew. The pace just wasn't a good fit for me. The first week, they had a 4-page paper due in addition to the typical DQ post. I am used to a more laid-back pace where Week 1 is just settling in; you have a DQ about what you hope to learn, whether the course could apply to your workplace, and stuff like that. The course videos were just a guy talking in a monotone voice. No visuals or anything like that. Just his face talking in a monotone voice. I tried several times to get into the material but couldn't. I withdrew immediately. That could have just been a fluke of a class so I wouldn't judge the whole school on that. I would still recommend giving them a try. You can enroll as a Student-At-Large and just cherry-pick courses. That is what I did.
I am looking at Columbia Southern for my next degree. The tuition can be discounted 10-15% if your workplace is a "Learning Partner". They also have a lot of scholarships you can apply for. I think it can come in right around 11-12k.

A couple other reasonably priced ones I have considered are:
Eastern University -

Hellenic American University -

Amberton -

I am doing mine through Strayer University's Jack Welch Management Institute, but I get a deep discount. I love the program. Even though there are times I question a few things. The pace is just right for me. And right now my Operations course is directly applicable to my work. My class project is literally improving a process at work which the Directors have been loving. But without any discount, the sticker price of the program is around $40k

Basically, you may want to tell us your short list of institutions you have looked at already, what you bring to the table, and what your budget, commitments, etc are (the info asked for in the addendum and template) to give us a bigger picture of your scenario. I highly recommend the ones listed earlier including ACE.edu, and for other alternatives, you should review the sticky thread:
