LSU Independent and Distance Learning
Anyone familiar with classes from LSU? how does it work? once you complete the classes do you have to transfer the credit to a credit bank? or it shows in a LSU transcript.
also is a GPA calculated when you pass this classes?

I have just begun one of their English courses. I don't know about the exams or GPA stuff yet, but I'm happy to share what little I do know.
You register online and pay for the course, about a week later the materials show up. It's a folder with an assignment book and submission envelopes. For my course, all lessons have to be submitted in MLA format, and you cannot submit more than three lessons per week. I am taking the literary themes course, and each of the 16 assignments consists of 5-6 questions on a specific literary work which must be answered with at least three well developed paragraphs. It seems like a lot of writing to me...but I did receive my first lesson back the other day and it was marked with both a percentage and a letter grade (A+ 100% yay) and the instructor returned comments on each of my responses. I think lessons and grades can be submitted and checked online as well, but I've just been mailing them.
I am enjoying it so far and I have learned a lot. It's definitely harder to analyze and write about the movie assignment, though. I had to watch Psycho several times, not as easy as writing and citing written works, imho.
After I complete the course, I had intended to request a transcript directly from LSU and have it sent to COSC. I don't think you will need a credit bank as long as you are enrolled somewhere. Even if you aren't you can request a transcript from LSU later on down the road when you decide to use the credits. I wouldn't waste money on credit banking when LSU will keep your record, transcripts are usually $20 or less.
Hope that helps!

Check with the receiving university to be sure. Every school has a different acceptance policy. But they are regionally accredited so you should have no problem using the credits at any of the Big Three or most other schools.
