Awesome update, so, you're going for the UMPI PM & IS that was mentioned? Yes, going for the Metropolia for cheap is a great deal, you get to add credit to the learning as well, are you planning to take advantage of the Coursera Plus for $1 the first month? You can get some certs towards the UMPI degree, then work on the Sophia.org for remaining gen eds/electives if you want...

Yes, I will. Just doing some Sophia courses that don't have touchstones at the moment. I'm a bit worried about the ones with the touchstones, though.

I'm marking my progress in the degree plan, but it seems like it's missing something... will try to figure it out once I'm finished with the more obvious things.

A few more questions:
1. After my diplomas get evaluated by AICE. How do I know what credits UMPI will accept and what they won't? At what point can I know this? I don't want to spend time doing courses that would already be accepted. I'm using Ucredo, they initially promised 2-3 weeks, which would make it the 3-10 of October. But after submission and payment, they are not really answering me Dodgy .
2. Is CLEP - College Composition the best option for English Composition I? What to do with Part II though?

Once you get your diplomas evaluated by AICE, post the evaluations here. Remove any personal info (like name), of course. While we won't know 100% what UMPI will do, we can get a good idea based on past experiences. For instance, we may not know for sure what course number UMPI would give to a course evaluated as something like "Geochemistry + lab", but we'd be able to tell that it will likely fit into their "Physical Science" and "Laboratory Science" requirements. Some of them will obviously have nowhere else to go except into electives. We'll be able to give you a reasonable guess regarding what you'll still need to complete so that you can both maximize transfer to UMPI and not duplicate effort.

For UMPI specifically, CLEP is really not a good option. Especially for Europeans. People outside of (North) America cannot take the CLEP online and public CLEP testing centers are few and far between. Thankfully, UMPI's English Comp is actually fairly quick and easy for most students. It's especially good for students who haven't been in school for many years. It's a releatively low-risk way to learn what UMPI expects from its students when it comes to academic papers.

Could you please give me a link for that?

Had two more questions:
1. I've read somewhere that transfering in more credits than the 90 allowed and getting more than 120 in total would somehow "go into my minor".
I'm unaware of the US educational system, but from what I understand, the UMPI transcription would just have a longer transcription list of subjects?
That would potentialy "transform" the Sophia credits, which are possibly not as widely recognisible, to UMPI Degree credits.
2. I'm currently waiting for Sophia touchstone reviews. I've heard that you can open more than 2 Sophia courses if you ask the support for it. Is it limited to 3 or can I actually have 4-5?

The AICE Ucredo is really ignoring me, I don't know if evaluation is even in progress at this point.

Extra alt credit beyond the 90 will end up on your transcript, but that doesn't "transform" them into real credits. However, it can be useful for employers or governmental bodies that want to see certain coursework. For example, getting a CPA license requires extra coursework beyond the required bachelor's degree. Alt credit on a college transcript can fulfill that requirement in some states.

Sure, here's the link, but the deal expired already: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...pt-21-2023

1) Transferred credits is just that, institutions need to know where it came from and will get all related transcripts, you can't 'transform' alternative credit into regionally accredited credit. Alternative credit isn't new, CLEP/DSST, challenge exams, PLA etc have been around for many years...

2) Sophia.org only allows a third class due to grading reasons on touchstones, that's the main thing - I tell people to mix/match their courses so they can complete them faster, for example, one class without touchstones and one with, so you can speed through them. Try to max that...

* UMPI said "If you are an international student whose native language is not English, we waive the foreign language requirement."
So I guess that means I will need more electives?

* There are 4 SDC courses, Business 303, Business 304, Business 310, Business 312. Can I only do 2 of these per month?

* I have InstaCert "Managerial Accounting" in my degree plan, but from what I understand it's credits are defunct now?

* The AICE evaluators promised to possibly finish the evaluation this friday, which would be tomorrow.

Either that's a new policy or someone is telling fibs. If it's true, I would indeed assume that you'll need 3 extra elective credits. The RPT & LPT are pretty fast/easy/cheap if you're bilingual, and the credits can be used in electives if you want to be safe. Or you can just plan for an extra Sophia class or something and not take the LPT/RPT unless you absolutey have to.

By default, yes. You can pay an extra $70 for each additional exam you want to take, up to 5 total exams per month. However, these are UL classes with assignments. You probably will not be able to complete more than 2 classes in a month. If you somehow manage to finish each class in under a week, you can go ahead and get started on the quizzes/assignments for the other two. It's only the exams that cost money. If you finish every quiz and assignment for all classes in under a month, you can go ahead and pay for 2 additional exams and save a little money that way.

Correct, they no longer offer credit-bearing classes/exams. Where is this listed on the wiki? I keep thinking I got all references to it, but InstantCert course recommendations keep popping up.

@Sherwood, Your best bet with Study.com is to get the 30% off for 3 months, that means about $160/month for 3 months, this gets you 6 classes, total 18 credits. If you need more electives, you can take $70/extra exam. I would take the ACTFL for the quickest way to get extra credits, especially UL if you can score high enough. Yes, let us know of the evaluation...

Instacert:
This link contains a spreadsheet which has the Instacert references. I don't think there are any on wiki, at least I haven't seen them.
https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...-for-3-222

ACTFL:
Yeah I think it makes to sense to do them just in case.

Science requirements:
Do I understand correctly that these are the 3 most practical ways to fullfill the science requirements?
1. My AICE evaluation suffices UMPI requirements.
2. Sophia. Human Biology + Human Biology Lab. (already finished everything except 1 touchstone)
3. Sophia. Introduction to Nutrition + Introduction to Chemistry + Introduction to Chemistry Lab.

Is only one option required between option 2 and 3?

GEC requirements:
I've looked at the link:

https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UM...quivalents
But still dont understand the whole "1A, 2A, 2B..." concept.

I've added these subjects with questions marks since I'm unsure:
- Visual Communications
- Intro to Stats
- Intro to College Mathematics
- U.S. Government

AICE evaluation:
Still waiting
