And you won't read anything more in regards to the InstaCert ACE credit courses, they no longer are pursuing ACE recommended for credit courses. You missed the threads in regards to that...

The reason I had a post #51 above... I was just commenting that you won't be able to find the InstaCert references on the WIKI as they no longer are in the ACE courses arena, the WIKI is constantly updated... either LevelUP, Rachel83AZ, or some senior members have updated the WIKI's to reflect this. InstaCert was a good option, alas, stuff happen...

Edit Reason: ACTFL is stoooopid
)
Just took the ACTFL RPT Russian exam. What a piece of shit exam!!!
The questions are tricky and sometimes have 2 technically correct answers.
Russian is my second native language, have been speaking it at home since birth, lived in Russia between 2005-2022, am married to a Russian and speak Russian home everyday and got a "Intermediate High". That's like a 4/8.
Worked for like 6 years full-time in Russia and the only comment I eve received regarding my language skills is "it's strange that you're name isn't Russian but you are fluent and don't even have an accent"
Even my IELTS reading in 2005 was 8.5 out of 9. And I don't even know a single grammar rule in English.

Okay, phew, good. Yeah, there will still be references to them on the forum because they were an amazing choice while available.

Do I understand correctly that these are the 3 most practical ways to fullfill the science requirements?
1. My AICE evaluation suffices UMPI requirements.
2. Sophia. Human Biology + Human Biology Lab. (already finished everything except 1 touchstone)
3. Sophia. Introduction to Nutrition + Introduction to Chemistry + Introduction to Chemistry Lab.
Is only one option required between option 2 and 3? Sounds about right.
Yes, between #2 and #3, you only need one.
UMPI has 3 science requirements:
Biological science
Physical science
Lab science
The lab needs to match either the class used for the biological science or the physical science. Using Sophia as an example, the following would not count: Human Biology, Environmental Science, and Intro to Chemistry lab without also taking Intro to Chemistry.

I've looked at the link:
https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UM...quivalents
But still dont understand the whole "1A, 2A, 2B..." concept.
I've added these subjects with questions marks since I'm unsure:
- Visual Communications
- Intro to Stats
- Intro to College Mathematics
- U.S. Government If you do any one math, you don't need the others. I.E., if you do Algebra then you don't need Stats or College Math. If you do Stats, you don't need Algebra or College math.
Visual Communications is pretty short and easy, so definitely take it (IMO). I think, however, that some students haven't had it transfer in while others have? It may depend on what degree you're getting specifically. Unsure.

)
I'm sorry about my response regarding the ACTFL exam, lost it there. It was a bit humiliating to get an "intermediate" in your native tongue
I think I'm finished with Sophia.
Made a GEC requirements table:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...1111518999
Only GEC requirements left are 1A, 1B, 1D, 2C & 4B, all of which are covered by English Comp I & II. And that is to be taken at UMPI.
Guess I will proceed to SDC since that will probably take me 2-3 months because of the "2 per month" limit.
And Coursera for the certificates of course.
Should any more electives be finished on Sophia, just in case?

If you still have time on your Sophia subscription, it's probably worth taking a few short/easy 0-touchstone courses for electives just in case the evaluation says you only have a HS diploma-equivalent.
If you don't have time left, move on to Study.com and wait for the evaluation to be finished before deciding to do a Sophia again or not.

The limit on Study.com is 5 per month. So in 30 + 1 days, you could take 10 exams.
2 exams are included in the monthly price. Additional exams are $70 each.

That's right, if you still have a Sophia.org membership and need some electives/gen eds completed, do them there for all your lower level requirements. If you're looking for Study.com options, it's 2/month subscription with an option of extra exams at $70/each for a total of max 5/monthly subscription cycle. The most you can do for Study.com is 5/month, only exception is when you're within the same month but two billing cycles, that happened to me and I was able to do 7 lower level exams in 3 weeks a few years ago, unless that system has change, that's how it works...
