I suck at life choices, help?

Just an update, I checked with WGU's FinAid department and they checked for me. I don't have any defaults in thier system, so she said it would be OK for me to recieve my Pell Grants. I called the navient to check on that loan and it's in default until I pay it off. WGU couldn't see it, so I'm assuming it was because it was a private loan with ITT? I hope this doesn't bite me in the rump later because I don't have the $9k they want as a settlement.

The other issue is that I'm having trouble getting my tax transcripts and my ex isn't given me any copies. Why, oh why did they start requiring prior year returns!?

Lastly, to answer Sanantone's question. I wanted an MBA because at some point of my life I'd like to either own a franchise or do some real estate investing. I know nothing about business. Most likely, I'll just learn through books or MMOOCs. But, I like working toward things like certificates, degrees, etc. But, once I finish WGU (If I ever get to that point, given the above issues) I may feel different since I would finally have a degree that I've been wanting)
