Either way, you still have to tilt the box to get the end of the straw to be in the right place, so it's 6 of 1, half-dozen of the other.

Hmm, this reminds me of the "hacks" on Youtube, some are interesting and may in fact be better done as informed online, but for this particular one, I don't think it would make much of a difference.
