Actually that's 20,000 per year and your examples are over 10? years. With pseudo-Nazi types responsible 61 out of 200,000 deaths I hope you don't lay awake at night fearing that Uncle Adolph is going to get you. For clarity, those are pretty small odds.

Why was the Secret Service’s protective perimeter in Butler shorter than the range of an AR-15?
It does not take 60 days to answer that question.
The agency’s failure to publicly account for these questions and others from Congress is unacceptable.
Dir. Cheatle should resign.

Why are Democrats now calling for the head of the Secret Service to resign? Because it's making them look bad.
I've heard that Congress could hold the head of the Secret Service in contempt of Congress or fine her $10,000 per day for not answering questions.
We, the people, want to know what happened, what went wrong, and we demand full disclosure.
Update:
Kimberly Cheatle resigns

Everybody wants to know what went wrong. Democrats and Republicans both want to know because crazies come in all stripes and we can't conduct the country's business with everyone having to duck all the time.
It appears that this guy may not have been politically motivated, and that Trump may have been targeted simply because he held an event close to where the guy lived. Could have been any high profile politician.
Lawrence O'Donnell had an interesting segment last night where he went over the fact that we've never taken a Secret Service head to the woodshed after other attempts. That includes the guy who was head when Ford was shot at twice, and was STILL the head when Reagan was shot. He was not suggesting that it was right and still called for a full investigation and holding Cheatle to account.

Crooks was described by his former classmates as a conservative. His parents recently had a Trump sign in their yard. His recent search history included Biden and other high-profile individuals. Law enforcement is still searching for a political motivation behind the assassination attempt. As of right now, it appears that Crooks chose Trump because he came to his city.
Crooks was known as a bad shooter. He was such a bad shooter that a gun club denied him membership. As we can see from his failed assassination attempt, he remained a bad shooter. The low IQ conspiracy theorists believe that the government hired a 20-year-old bad shooter and home health aide to be an assassin. LMAO!
