I see a lot of questions and concerns about Brightspace. While I wasn't there for the previous platform, I feel like I can help alleviate some of the Brightspace concerns and questions. Feel free to ask me anything and I'll try to help as best I can.

Enrolling for January 16 start. I have lots of questions! First I’d love to know the courses you took with some tips for anything BABA M&L UL related! I’m wondering what potential prep I can do to accelerate once I’m fully enrolled in particular.

You can't really prep. You have to read through the course material and write the Milestones to answer the questions. Wait for approval then work on your Final Assessment. It's not like we can say read book xyz in advance. There aren't any books. Patience is the best thing you can have with UMPI.

@CCCollege, Have you read the WIKI with the degree plan for UMPI? Your only "prep work" is actually to make sure to transfer in the max 90 credits with whatever is recommended on the WIKI if you haven't done so already, we've had members on the board that didn't get the max transfer and now taking an extra session or two. My suggestion is to get an evaluation, post your credits and information within the addendum/template here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works

Yeah, I was going to say to make sure you transfer in the maximum amount of credits. Also, take Operations Management as one of your first classes because the grading is slow. Be sure to do the Brightspace certification as soon as you can access it to familiarize yourself with the platform.

I applied and they’re evaluating now but also assured me that I have time to finish anything else I desire both before I’m enrolled and after I’m enrolled if I need to. I’ve knocked out everything I can on Sophia.

Most people are going at their pace from certs/diplomas to experience and getting degrees at the Associates, Bachelors, to Masters or higher. It's great you're getting to your educational goal in the order and pace you're going at, you'll get there soon enough, I wouldn't rush it for the sake of just getting the degree, it's for fulfilling your knowledge and learning gaps along the way that really counts...

Oh yeah, I'm definitely not rushing it. I am looking forward to the day I can look back at the journey though and see everything I've accomplished. One day I'm going to wake up and realize I have a MS degree haha..
