I've always this could be flexible and really good masters for someone who has a bunch of random grad credit. And it is available online.
https://www.cmich.edu/program/master-of-...nistration "Prior learning credit for work, training, and life experiences count. The MSA program is customized to fit your needs and utilize your work experiences, or professional certifications you have earned and apply them toward the degree you want - saving you time and money." and "MSA students may use up to 12 hours of prior learning credit on their program" (note this is specifically referring to prior learning credit. ie ACE, certifications, work experience, etc. NOT transfer credit ie RA credit.) https://www.cmich.edu/academics/colleges...g/graduate And even better CMU is not only on the list of NCCRS database but they are a partner school and have a profile. This is something very few schools have. http://www.nationalccrs.org/college-univ...university This could be the winner if someone just had a bunch of grad credit and needed a masters degree. In Summary: MSA degree = 36 credits Max transfer credits = 18 credits credits to be taken at CMU = 18 credits (and they offer 7.5 online terms so this degree could be done quick) 12 out of the 15 can come from prior learning credits like work and certifications and maybe even NCCRS. They appear to take NCCRS and they even have an online profile and an office dedicated to helping people get prior credit. Any Central Michigan graduate degree accepts up to 50% transfer credits. It would be interesting to see if someone on this forum attempted this degree.

I'm asking them some questions to see how they evaluate existing, and related work experience for credit. I'm curious how this would work, and they do have an International administration option that is unique and more specific towards people who actually work internationally in this type of role.

Interesting find on Jacksonville State University. It appears they do indeed accept 18 credits leaving you to complete 12 credits. I wonder if courses are offered online? If so credits are $400 each which would make this cheap.

Some courses that can apply to it are offered face to face or blended, but the MA in Integrated Studies is also available 100% online. Prescott College: "The Program Director of each graduate program is responsible for approving all requests for the acceptance of transfer credits. Up to a maximum of 15 credits may be approved for transfer into each graduate program. To be considered, all such credits must be from an appropriately accredited or approved institution."

I am just curious what the concentrations are available for this major and what are the required courses. I couldn't seem to find them anywhere.

It's a liberal studies degree (College of Arts and Humanities) with a different name. Quote:The student must complete a minimum of 30 graduate semester hours in approved courses, which must be from at least two or more fields of study. INS 599 Capstone is a required course. Based on JSU Exploring Micro-Credential Program and English Department to Offer Microcredentials in College Teaching, microcredentials are what Jacksonville State calls postbaccalaureate or graduate certificates.

University of Arkansas Grantham (not RA, NA DEAC, public-private partnership): Up to 50% of a master's degree excluding in nursing may be transfer credit and PLA combined. "Foreign equivalent" accreditation acceptable. 10 year recency.
Franklin University: 12 sh into a master's, but mentioning because: An information page about master's transfer credit indicates openness to "Professional Training Credit." "Professional training and work experience count toward your master’s degree at Franklin. Get credit for corporate training, professional workshops, and industry certifications." The catalog lists a Prior Learning Portfolio policy as both a graduate and undergraduate policy. The catalog also mentions a "formal, case-by-case review process" for credit from non-accredited institutions. |
