I think I'll work on some certs after my Sophia.org membership runs out in April...

I'm very tempted to try all the Google certs (the ones I haven't done) to see if I can do them during the free trial period.

Could anyone recommend an order for someone not already in IT? I am interested in several since I have Coursera Plus for the year. And I signed up for the American Dream Academy so that the IBM Cybersecurity would also be an option for no additional cost.

I would recommend Google IT Support Professional first, then the order of the others probably don't matter that much.

Thanks. Hopefully these are very informative. I’m not looking to work in IT, but having worked places that have no real IT, you never know when it can be useful.

In lieu of the Google UX Design certificate, Humble Bundle has a UX design/development bundle available for another 11 days: https://www.humblebundle.com/software/ux...s-software
Since it's through Pluralsight and not worth college credit, it'll depend on your individual motivations. You could, however, purchase the bundle and focus on a different Coursera certificate during the trial or subscription period.
I'm enjoying it for the price and supported causes.

This, for the Humble Bundle, I've purchased many from them, not only because they donate proceeds but because of the "basic 4 item bundle" is sufficient to get you started. I don't know about you, but each and every one of their bundles I've got are amazingly cheap if you get the basic 4 items.

Achieved the Google IT Support Professional one in three days just last week during my free trial. I'm pleasantly surprised that I can still access the material even after the trial is over.
Getting it accepted for credit at WGU was a bit of a hassle. I originally had Credly submit it directly to transcriptinfo(at)wgu(dot)edu (as it says in the Enrollment Portal), but that wasn't accepted for some reason or another. I took a look at the WGU Student Handbook and then emailed them myself at certificateinfo(at)wgu(dot)edu with my certificate's verification URL, and my transcript evaluation was updated in a few hours with credit for C182.

Wow! That was fast. I have been chipping away at it. Did you have prior experience, or just have a good amount of time to focus?

Yeah, I've been in IT for over 20 years and my day job is actually teaching IT to entry-level folks who want to get their CompTIA A+ certification. I also tutor some students who are self-studying for their Google IT certificate and since there's no instructor's module (that I know of), I decided to sign up as a student just to be able to look at the material. As I was in there messing around, I took a look at the quizzes and said "maybe I can earn this in the week," and I did.
It's actually really good material and I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to break into IT. I do NOT recommend blasting through it the way I did. I just wanted to see if I could finish it quickly (plus get the credit for my WGU degree).
