Confessions of a Clepaholic: A Slippery Slope Story
#11
Yutzyj,

Yes tomorrow I take my last test (Social Science & History) needed to graduate. BUT, I might be sticking around a little longer though. After reading a few of the post on here about taking DSST tests to improve your GPA, I think I just might do that. A few of us on here are already making preparations towards Grad School, and a higher GPA wouldn’t hurt anything. The way I see it, can take a few of the easier DSST test to help in that area. Snazz, what do you think, from one Clepaholic to another, does this sound like an excuse to continue testing?

Hello, my name is Scott, and I am a Clepaholic…

Best of luck to everyone.

Scott,

In all seriousness, I think you would be very wise to take a little extra time to boost your GPA. You are obviously considering grad school, and GPA is one of the things that they will be looking at.

Unless you have some overarching reason why you need to graduate right now, I think you should put it off for just a few more weeks so that you can present the grad school admissions people with the best GPA you possibly can.

Please let us know if you want help deciding which exams to take etc. You know we are all here for you if you need us.

Do GREAT on your Social Science & History exam tomorrow.

Good luck,
Snazzlefrag

In all my raking of the old posts, I missed this gem!

Thanks, Snazz. Your willingness to open up and relate your experience and opinion has helped me cope with the idea of having PCD (Post Clep Depression). I'm OK now. I thought I'd have to enroll in Clepaholics Anonymous once I bottomed out.

I just realized that I don't think I have any more CLEPs to take! I know I have take 2 more Dantes to take for my Accounting Degree but I think I might be done with CLEPs!   What am I going to do? I might have to take one just for fun so I don't go through withdrawal.

Hey SNAZZ...I just realized that I didn't get a chance to praise you for this brilliant masterpiece the first time it went around. It was very funny then, and it's STILL funny now! Too bad you couldn't have used it for the essay portion when you took the CLEP English w/essay exam. Rolleyes

I do have one question though... Have you ever thought of creating a 10-step program to help all those addicts out there?? You could call it "M.A.T.E." (Massively Addicted To Exams). If anyone could come up with a good plan for that one, it would be you! hilarious

Thanks for the laughs,
