Here's a follow-up: What is the difference in employment opportunities for a Bachelor's in CS versus AAS in Computer Programming? Thanks.

Huge unless you've got 5+ yrs of experience. Now some people break into computer programming with no degree, so I won't say that you can't find a position, but the floor at many companies will be the bachelor's.
Let's put it this way, I have 30 years of experience and decided to go back and get my Bachelor's
