At the Masters level they do away with the exam format altogether and substitute written tasks such as essays or the creation of power point projects and the like. For Supply Chain I worked through an online simulator that took you through the start up of a business. Pretty cool really.
EDIT: checked it out, it's perfect for teachers, business, nurses, or IT people.
The degrees are very much geared towards getting graduates into jobs...hence the emphases on more concrete concentration areas.
I'm becoming more and more impressed with the alumni network as well...WGU has a very forward thinking model. I'm now 25 days into the MBA and have finished one course and submitted all the work for the second one...if i can keep the rate up I can probably finish in 1 term...we will see
