Is there a link to a specific online program? what is the cost?

I am fluent in French, Italian and German, and would like to test out on foreign languages for my International Studies degree.

Thanks

These are not courses, they're exams.  https://www.actfl.org/assessment-profess...ssessments

There are 4 exams for each language that's covered, and you get credit based on your level of proficiency:
OPIc (speaking) $105, up to 6cr of UL and 6ct of LL
WPT (writing) $105, up to 6cr of UL and 6ct of LL
LPT (listening) $50, up to 6cr LL
RPT (reading) $50, up to 6cr LL

Just be careful that a school will take multiple languages, and be warned that some may duplicate each other (so if you do well on OPIc, then you might not get anything for the RPT; and if you do well in WPT, then you might not get credit for RPT).

If you're going to TESU for the International Studies degree, then I don't think having multiple languages or tons of credit in this area will be helpful.  The most you can get is 6cr of UL in the AOS I think (foreign languge doesn't look to count in either of the elective areas in the AOS).  But if you were going for a BALS, you could get all 15cr of UL completed this way.  If you were to get a BALS at COSC, you could use excess UL credit towards the 30cr you need.

This is the very first thing I would do if I was fluent in a language.

Thanks for your reply. Initially I was thinking of NYU proficiency test but they increased the price too much.
6cr for International studies sounds good.

I'll look into it, right now it is not much the studying part, as much as the cost, I am looking at cost / amount of credits / and what I need to satisfy degree categories.

$105 for 12cr, 6 of which are UL, is a fantastic price ($8.75/cr).  You can't beat that anywhere.

6cr of UL in your major is what you really want, the other 6cr can go in the GE area.  Then, if you find LL credits that will work in your major, you have so many options to get the degree inexpensively.  You only need to find 6cr more of UL for your entire major.
It is a great price!! Agree.

I will consider it.

Thanks.
