CAPM ANYONE......
#1
Hello IC-Forum-Classroom -

An associate of mine is looking for an online course for: CAPM - "Certified Associate in Project Management."

This course need not come from a "lofty" school nor one that is quite costly but once completed give them the ability to posses the CAPM certificate.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks!

Just to be clear, are they looking for a course to prepare for the CAPM exam? If they want to have the CAPM certificate, they must take and pass the exam from PMI. https://www.pmi.org/certifications/certi...ciate-capm

It doesn't have to be any school then, or even a school. No one will ever know where they did the exam prep.

https://www.udemy.com/course/capm-pmbok6/ It looks like Udemy has one for $12.99. I have no idea how good it is.

In the little research I did, you also need "23 contact hours of formal [project management] education" to be eligible to take the test. I don't know how they verify this.

PMI Wrote:https://www.pmi.org/-/media/pmi/document...e2b802197f

You can satisfy the education requirements by demonstrating the successful completion of courses, workshops and training sessions offered by one or more of the following types of education providers:
A. PMI Registered Education Providers (R.E.P.s)
B. PMI Approved Training Partners (ATPs)
C. PMI chapters*
D. Employer-/company-sponsored programs
E. Training companies or consultants (e.g., training schools)
F. Distance-learning companies, including an end-of-course assessment
G. University/college academic and continuing education programs

The following education does not satisfy the education requirements:
• PMI chapter meetings*
• Self-directed learning (e.g., reading books, watching instructional videos or sessions with coaches or mentors)

SDC or Sophia Project Management might be enough to satisfy this requirement (See F.) but I have no idea.

Wouldn't whatever course you used to study satisfy the requirement (E or F)?

This one is ideal, and Joseph Phillips is very well know in PMI exam prep world. Great Prep and covers the contact hours required.
Udemy often has sales, or coupon codes, making the course(s) very low cost.
