If SDC is cheaper I will definitely go with that, then I guess the Biology course from Sophia will be worthless or do you think it could apply to the free electives section still?
Human Biology can be used as a LL elective. At Study.com you can take 2 exams during the month so you can take a second class.

They have that pesky lab fee which is extra and makes it almost the price of three courses, was hoping to avoid that
I see you went to UMPI, would you happen to know whether all the courses listed http://catalog.umpi.edu/content.php?cato...curriculum for GEC are available through Yourpace? I'm looking for a substitute I could take for Hum 103 at UMPI itself, maybe ART108 or 120 or something along those lines.

Try looking at it this way: not taking a lab science could add another session to your degree. That'd be $1400 later instead of about $260 now.
Also, all the GEC requirements have a YourPace course that fulfills them. Sometimes, only one class. For GEC 2D, you get HUM103. They do not have ART108/120.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

You're right, looks like I have to make peace with that lab fee
I read somewhere on the forum HUM103 is a pita with papers that's why I'm looking for alternatives but not sure the SDC alt would be any better workload wise...
Speaking of workload, the Sophia Spanish course looks like a nightmare, is Instacert doable fast for someone who never learned Spanish before? Or alternately, since my native language isn't English would UMPI still accept the Duolingo English exam in my case?

No, you cannot take the DL English exam and get foreign language credit. What you CAN do is take an ACTFL exam in your native language, if it exists.

OK, I looked around on the site a bit and seems like they have several types of tests? Oral proficiency interview, written proficiency test, etc separately. Would any of the options work?
I'm looking at https://www.languagetesting.com/certific...nformation or is this the wrong page?

See https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/AC...Languages)
Quote:Students are cautioned to ensure that the test they wish to take is valid for ACE credits because there are ACTFL exams that do not give ACE credit.
