I applied, sent in my transcripts, received a Student ID. When I try to view my application status online it asks me for an activation key. That was not included in the email. What do I do?

The format of courses makes them difficult to compare. Study.com courses are heavily weighted to the quizzes and final, so I optimized by ensuring 100% on all the quizzes as quickly as possible, and that always taught me enough to do well on the final. For UMPI, the milestone writing assignments and the final paper/project are closely tied to the material, which requires a more complete understanding. That is all to say that the strategy you're implementing for Study.com courses should be effective for UMPI. However, you may want to move a bit faster than a week per course if you want to complete ten courses in a single 8-week session.

Last half of the 6th day I study for the exam and take it the 7th day. Mind you this is also in addition to doing the assignments.

At UMPI, you are graded based on assignments. You first submit a draft, after which the professor provides a preliminary grade along with suggestions for improvement. You then make the necessary changes and submit the final paper.
As long as you are good at following directions, understanding rubrics, and double-checking your work, it’s easy to achieve Latin honors such as Summa Cum Laude or Magna Cum Laude at UMPI.

Email UMPI to get them to resend the activation email...

After you complete the residency requirement at UMPI can you transfer in credits and graduate with another degree? For example, I complete my first 30 credits at UMPI and graduate. Can I then go back to Study.com and complete all the requirements for another degree there and transfer in the credits? If so, is this limited to online/yourpace? Or can I transfer in credits and graduate with an In Person degree as long as I completed the residency requirement?

Once you graduate you will need to apply again for another degree. In the past, students were required to complete an additional 30 credits at UMPI for second bachelor's degrees. I went through this a few years ago, but they've changed some policies since then.
What do you mean by in person degree? Everyone earns the same diploma - on campus and in YourPace.

They have degree programs that are soley in person. I was under the impression after you complete the RA you can just transfer in credits and graduate with any further degrees.

That's because they can only offer degrees that can be completed entirely through the YP platform. However, any degree can be completed through YourPace if you meet the requirements. For example, many students, including me, have completed the BAS. How you meet those requirements is the question. There are different modalities for different courses, so you may go attend in person and pay the in-person tuition, or you may attend an online synchronous course that is also in-person, if they offer it, or you can transfer courses from other schools, etc., etc. (01-23-2025, 11:45 PM)Bm1992 Wrote: I was under the impression after you complete the RA you can just transfer in credits and graduate with any further degrees. Yes, other students have reported that they have completed the 30-credit residency requirement (not RA - RA stands for regionally accredited) at UMPI through YP to finish their first degree and then transferred all the courses for a second degree, re-enrolling and paying for another YP session, but not taking any more UMPI courses. This would appear to allow a broader range of degrees because students were previously required to complete some of the major courses at UMPI, the vast majority of which are not offered through YP. Do you have a specific goal in mind? Which courses are you planning to transfer?
