So sorry to hear that. I went through something similar with the Rise & Fall of the Soviet Union DSST, except I was only a quarter through before the server went down. In my case, DSST DID fail me and sent the failing score to EC. It was a horrible mess trying to obtain authorization to retake the exam and straighten it out between DSST and EC.
Anyway, so sorry you have to wait. At least you'll know exactly what to expect next time, although it sounds like you were doing pretty well to begin with. I think Prometric should comp your exam fees on this one
