Coursera and EdX seem so promising but it seems like higher ed really can't get out of their own way with making useful degrees affordable. Coursera has the infrastructure to make this all affordable/repeatable but yet the price tag remains too high. I sort of understand the in person price tags for the physical campus but it would be nice to see a larger shift in more affordable online only degrees. Hopefully the 25K comes back down to closer to the original 10K price.
I see Georgia Tech and UT Austin make a great 10K Masters and I shake my head when I see the MPH from U Michigan for 50K . Higher ed is getting disrupted but not fast enough.
