First thing requested from me was my high school transcripts which I have myself electronically certified as we are issued the original copies ourselves. However the admissions specialist I'm in contact with at umpi says only transcripts sent directly from the highschool I took them with are considered official. But the school I took them with has closed due to the pandemic so even though my version of the transcripts are as authentic as anything that school would have sent to UMPI I don't think they'll accept them.
I have no idea what to do, I am at a lose.
I'm in a state where many schools are closed. They're doing remote learning. The administration is still working. Have you called your high school? Maybe give them a call and ask about having an official high school transcript sent to UMPI. All colleges want official transcripts which means only the school can send them. What you have isn't an official transcript. It's considered unofficial.

Also I would explain your specific situation due to the pandemic and see If they would make an exception.
No, they way waive high school transcripts if you already have a degree such as an associate or bachelor's. They don't waive the high school transcript requirement if you have college credits.
