I have been sort of taking the microeconomics course at onlinedegree.com and I am through three sections. This class is legit. I don't need this class for anything really, so I have just been playing the videos in the background, not studying and taking the quizzes cold. I have, so far, scored 3, 3 and 4 on the post-section quizzes which is not enough to pass. So, I would say that this is a tough class so far. The videos are heavy on Crash Course Econ. which is really good and fun to watch. They also have a lot of videos from UC-Irvine by Peter Navarro, who is Donald Trump's economic adviser. He is kind of viewed as unorthodox, but this is basic econ. and so he can't do too much damage.
I see two weaknesses in the format. First, I don't think that you can review the quizzes after they are completed. This means that you don't know which ones you answered incorrectly. Also, this means that you can't really study for the final. This reduces the actual learning utility of the course.
