Sort of new to IC. What do people think about the social science "cluster strategy"?
#1
I am new to InstantCert, but have some helpful advice from my mom - she has been through this before, but not since 2009. I passed the College Algebra CLEP exam this morning and earned a 70, so I am using IC to study for Intro to Psych now. I am not really that much into Psychology, but the advice I have received is that:

1) Intro to Psychology is very passable using only IC.
2) This exam is readily accepted at the State U I am applying to next year.
3) There is supposedly a lot of carryover from this exam to other social science exams that are also readily accepted by the State U I am applying to next year. The theory here is that passing Intro to Psych will reduce the time it will take for me to study for Intro to Sociology, Intro to Educational Psychology and Human Growth and Development.

I will be an Accounting major, so these credits will meet social science requirements and/or serve as electives. Nonetheless, I can transfer up to 30 CLEP or AP credits in when I am accepted for admission to the State U. It seems that my mother is a fan of this social science "cluster strategy" and I really want to know what others have experienced more recently.

Does anyone here have any feedback around this approach? Has anyone else found that starting with Intro to Psych made studying for other social science exams that much easier?
