First, you would have to see if UH Hilo will accept tests and Straighterline courses to fulfill the prerequisite requirements. Straighterline does have 4-credit courses. Some schools give lab credit for CLEPs. I even know of one school that gives lab credit for DSSTs and a couple of ECEs. If I were you, I would look at the local and in-state community colleges to see what they offer online. New Mexico Junior College and Clovis Community college are cheap for non-residents. I know that NMJC offers most science prerequisites online. The only place I've found online organic chemistry with lab is at University of New England, but I would not recommend taking all of the science courses there unless you have about $12,600-$12,700 to spare. I know I don't. You can't use financial aid to pay for those courses since they're not in a degree program.

A little off topic, but does financial aid cover certificate programs? If so, UNE could easily solve the financial aid problem by creating a post-baccalaureate certificate program out of its online, pre-med courses.
