I have taken several 6 credit CLEPs. You can check feedback for all of them in my signature.
No, do not take College Comp without official approval from your advisor. As far as I know, it is not accepted for credit at EC, despite what the guide says.
You'll also need to ask about the possibility of graduating with fewer than 60 credits. I was surprised to learn about it through this post:

Think about one more test option as a back-up to get your total to 18 credits in exams.
If you don't earn all 13.69 credits in Arts & Sciences, then you are changing to an AS degree, which opens more testing options, too. Management is Applied Professional, not Arts & Sciences.
For an AS with 18 more credits, A&I Lit, 6 credit CLEP of your choice, Marketing & Management CLEPs.
For an AA, substitute one or both Applied Professional CLEPs with something from Arts & Sciences.
