Anyone ever take a test with just instacert questions? I was given the wrong info. for books for testing and took it and missed by three points. Now I want to take the Dantes. Do I need more than instacert to pass?

I have passed most of my exams using nothing but Instantcert. But it is not a bad idea to get supplementary study material.

Dumb question - what is CIS?
Is there a lot of difference between the CLEP and Dantes computer test?
Sure you can take tests with just instacert; look at your scores and how many you've taken! How did you test so well in Spanish?

From reading previous posts on this forum some have passed with IC alone. It would depend on how much previous knowledge you have on the subject.

I have never tried taking a test with only using InstantCert, but I think you probably could. I would study the IC flashcards and then take a Peterson's practice test. If you score above a 55 or 60, you should most definitely go ahead and take the real test.

Go to this website to download Peterson's practice tests.
Search for Colleges and Universities, Graduate Schools, Online Degree, Private Schools - Peterson's
These are very helpful. If you can score a 55 or higher on a Peterson's test, then you are probably ready to take the real one.
Does this answer your question?

Yes Thank-you!
I missed the Dantes Intro. to Comp. with a 377 instead of 400. Does anyone know with the new scoring system approx. how many questions I missed? I don't know how this is scored.
Thanks
