I am currently doing a Business Administration major with a Marketing concentration with only 4 courses left, and I'm thinking about adding a minor. The minors I'm considering are Psychology and/or Management as I think they could benefit me. I have already seen the requirements and I could add some additional Sophia courses but not interested in SDC.
Could anyone share their experiences with the Psychology or the Management minor? I'm curious about the workload.

Great stuff, yes, you can add an additional minor by getting in contact with your academic advisor or the assigned academic success coach. Either of them would be able to assist with this. I had my coach add the third minor of choice into my program, now I've got all 3 I wanted... Management, MIS, PM! You've got to make sure most of the classes are transferred into the degree minor and complete either at Sophia, Study.com, or at UMPI. Lastly, I guess you have done all the Sophia.org and Study.com, I just updated your previous thread with some info if you needed to review this: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...#pid423482

Since you're already completing the BABA you may not be able to do the Management Minor. You may have to add a second Concentration. You can add the Management and Leadership Concentration no problem. Just email your academic success coach and request the addition. The psych classes take much longer than the business courses.

Dont' add another minor if it will take you an extra term. Get the degree done. Don't waste time and money on something that won't add ROI. In the end you will still end up with a BA in Business Admin. You can always study these other subjects of interest on your own (for free) after you complete the degree.

If I understand correctly, the original poster completed six courses in the past two weeks and plans to finish four more in the next two weeks (in worst case). This leaves them with four free weeks. The question is, how can they best utilize this time? As it is paid already.

It should be even possible to get 2nd major in History, for example, if there is any reason to do so.
I am in more less similar situation and I think, which courses might be useful for the future (as passed at RA university).
I also think about Psychology, I read that they are much longer than Business classes, but at least it should be interesting.

While someone may plan to complete x number of courses in x number of weeks that doesn't mean it will work out that way. I see many people have these plans and they fall apart. They unprepared for how much work some courses are. They're unaware of the delays with some professors. Anything in life can happen.

You finish your degree requirements first, once it's all complete, you can shoot for an additional minor... The goal is completing the degree requirements, the icing on the cake is getting an additional minor as an add-on...

To complete the psychology minor, you need to take a minimum of 2 courses at UMPI. If you aren't able to complete the minor by the end of the term, you will have to bring in ACE credit.

I thought ss20ts or someone else said it's possible to bring in ACE courses after the term if needed.

Exactly. If I finish with 4 weeks left, I would want to add the psychology minor, as I think it could complement the marketing concentration and increase my knowledge and my chances of landing a corresponding role in marketing after UMPI. I know that I need to finish the 4 courses first, but I don't think it hurts to know what I could do afterward because that could cost me another week for planning and organizing it with Sophia or Study courses and UMPI, decreasing my chances of getting all courses done.

In the end, I just wanted to ask about your experiences with the minor and especially the coursework.
