Has anyone on DegreeForum done a few classes, or finished a degree from ACE?

They have a lot of programs and RA accrediation. It'd be nice to see some reviews from them. Their pricing is pretty competitive for cash payers.

I actually enrolled today as a “student at large”. Some of their courses fit in to my MBA program for a lower price and shorter term. I know we had someone here who did the same about a year ago. I’ll have to see who it was.

Yes, I've been recommending their Masters and Doctoral program, even though they're a private for-profit, they're a pretty good deal and centered for education, leadership, or teaching, I see them branching slightly off with a couple or more degree offerings though...

Another potential benefit for me… I asked if the credits I take now could later be applied to one of their programs if I also used them on another degree that is completed elsewhere and they said yes. So when I finish this MBA, if I take three courses with them and some of my MBA courses transfer in, I could be halfway to a M.Ed in Educational Business (which is also applicable in my field). I don’t know if I will do it, but I might. Kind of exciting to think of the possibilities.

That's pretty cool! I enrolled and got accepted for one of their Master's and they waived several courses due to my DHA.

Have you started your first course yet? Mine started yesterday. I am not sure about it yet. So far, the readings are dry and the videos are too, um, robotic. I watched an entire video and I have no idea what I just watched. Probably my attention span. And a four page essay on the first week?? Hopefully I will be able to find a groove this week.

Are there transcripts for the videos, or do you have to watch them? I hate videos...

Not exactly. I can turn on closed captioning. I just figured out what this needs… a friggin power point presentation. It’s just a dude sitting there talking in an artificial pace while his head and eyes are clearly reading a prompt.
