Computer testing vs traditional
#1
I plan on taking my first DSST soon. I think i might like the computer version better because i have heard you get your score on the spot rather than waiting. Is this true?

Which method do you prefer?

Have you noticed or know of any differences when taking the computer version vs. the traditional version?

Yes, Dsst computer testing gives you an instant score at the end. Overall the Dsst IBT interface is very good.
Much better than the CLEPS, which reminds me of Windows 3.1. Is it just me or does it always look like someone smeared some vaseline on the screen and then tried to wipe it off?

pitbull,
I have taken both the paper and the computer versions and I definitely liked the computer version best. However, there is a 10-15 second time lapse between questions unlike CLEP so if you need all the time given you would probably want to go with the paper version. Good luck!!

I don't experience any noticable delay between questions where I take my exams.

what about going back to check answers on the computer version?

are the tests the same on both versions? Or are the new computer exams updated material?

The format for the test is basicly a modernized version of CLEP and you are able to mark or go back and review the questions. I'm not sure though, if the information was updated or not.
