I posted earlier that I took the Here's to Your Health test yesterday, and passed with a 60. Mr. Moderator said it would be nice to post some pointers about the test. So here goes...

I took the computerized test, which from posts I had read, thought may be more difficult than the pencil/paper exam was. It's hard to judge, not knowing how the old test was, but I think this probably was harder.

Things that I think helped me were: 1 - IC and 2 - a college level General Health book, and 3 - lots of studying!

On the test, there seemed to be a lot of questions about different types of birth control and contreceptives. Also questions about illegal drugs. There were more "symptom" questions that I expected, questions that asked you like for example "If you have diabetes, what would your symptoms be?" It wasn't enough to know that diabetes is a problem caused from insulin issues.

This was my 1st test in 15 yrs. So that may be why I thought it was hard, I don't know. Anyway whoever's next - I hope this helps.

Has anyone here considered Athabasca rather than the big 3? Given that their program allows 100% transfer credit (like the big 3) but is only 90 credits (rather than 120 @ COSC, Excelsior and TESC) - I would be curious to see if anyone has leveraged their program using IC.

I'm deciding to take the Intro to Educational Psychology exam. I took the Intro to Psychology exam 3 weeks ago and got a 62. I am planning on taking this exam on tuesday. If I don't pass this then I am going to start grad school in the fall. Anyways from what I understand the Ed. Psychology overlaps with with regular Psychology. Does anyone have any experience with this exam?

I am attempting to max out the number of credits that Saint Leo University will take. This is coincidentally the exact number of classes I can test out of that I still need. I am tring to figure out the best order to take these in, or if not a specific order than which tests I should group together.

I've already taken Principles of Management, Human Resources Management, and Organizational Behavior. I found that there was a lot of overlap between these three tests.

I passed the Principles of Statistics yesterday and was wondering what I should focus on next.

The tests I still need to take are:
-Management Information Systems
-Principles of Finance
-Principles of Accounting
-Principles of Marketing
-Introduction to Business Law
-Macroeconomics
-Microeconomics
-American Literature

Any ideas or suggestions?

I am planning to take the test for American gov't very soon. I know all of the instantcert questions (score around 97%) and I took the 3 practice peterson tests and scored 54, 54 and 57.. I am confused on why I would be getting 100% on instantcerts questions and so low on the peterson tests?????? Which one of these is more accurate towards what I should expect on the test?

And is instantcert enough to pass this test alone? I have read another thread where someone said it is not.. But Instantcert says it is.. any advice???

PS: Does anyone know where I can find the 50 free practice questions for american government that college board gives out? I remember seeing a link on some thread in this forum, but now I cannot find it..

I am looking for any information on the freshman college comp w/essay. Has anyone taken the exam with essay? I am trying to get an idea of how difficult the essay will be.

I have not been in school for 20 somethings years. I am the Director of Finance for the company I work for. I have been there for 5 years and now they come to me and say that I have to have a BA (preferably MBA). I have to get this degree in less than 1.5 years.

Thankfully I can test out of most of the accounting and economics courses that I will be required to take. Essay writing worries me though. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

I did a search on Research Methods which I've pushed off untill the ic cards for it were ready. I noticed a couple of ppl saying that the study guide that comes along with the Experimental Psychology textbook is a very good resource for its glossary and practice tests. I went to barnesandnobles.com and found the cheapest used one for twenty something dollars besides shipping. Any opinions on how necessary or worth it this purchase would be? (I ordered an older edition of the textbook for eight something).
