UPIstudy for homeschool

So I decided to splurge a bit and signed up our 12 year old homeschooler for the lifetime membership at UPIstudy ($449). At this age, speed is not of the essence. In fact, I would prefer her to take her time with assignements, revise them (multiple times, if necessary) under my guidance and really spend time learning rather than speed running the courses. The goal is for her to do multiple courses over the course of the next 4 years before she can enroll at TESU and also top it up with UL ones at Coursera. Undecided as of which degree she will go for at this point, and things may change at TESU and with her interests anyway.

Currently doing Brilliant.org for math and Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) for writing and grammar.

Please keep us posted! UPIstudy has been aggressively trying to promote their site on here, and there is not a ton of experience/feedback that's been posted by actual students (relative to some of the other big course providers) so I'm definitely interested in seeing how they stack up!

I will post here once we have a course completed. So far, I can report that you can enroll in unlimited courses simultaneously when you are on the PRO lifetime membership. That's nice. Exams are AI-proctored (whatever that means) and while you do quizzes, the system flags if you navigate away from the quiz or open another window. Also, I think all of the courses have quizzes, assignments and a final exam. Even the math courses seem to have multiple assignments. Not sure what those are all about, since the assignments are not described in the syllabus (which you can download), and you cannot see the assignment until you have completed the prior chapters. I think you can only do the next chapter once you have finished the prior. Harder to speed run than some other platforms, I bet.
