Just wanted to post a note of encouragement to everyone here. I completed 30 credits (9 tests) in 30 days (Jan 18-Feb 17). Total study time was probably around 80-100 hours total.

Here is a breakdown of the study material that I used (MOSTLY just IC). Also, the Challenge Exam with MSU is a program where you pay $150 to the University (Mountain State University) and receive a study guide and textbook recommendation. Then take a 150-200 question test on the entire subject. It is their way of giving credit for previous experience outside of a "portfolio" process. It was by far the hardest 3 credits of all.

Here's to Your Health - Instant Cert ONLY (4 Hours of study)

Introduction to Computing - Been in IT field for 15 years, used IC for about an hour to determine that I already knew most of this content. (1 hour of study)

Communications 200 (Challenge exam with MSU) "B" - Healthcare Communications text and study guide from University (12-14 hours of study)

02-04-2010
Information Systems and Computer Applications - IC Flashcards only (2 hours of study)

Analyzing and Interpreting Literature - IC Flashcards, Peterson's practice exams and online resources from IC Exam Specific Forum. (8-10 Hours of study) *This test SCARED me, but the actual exam was NOT as hard as the Peterson's practice exams. Several of the literature pieces in the actual exam were just role based discussions and not Poetry. I have a hard time with poetry at times, but there were only 2-3 items of poetry on the test.

A History of the Vietnam War - IC Flashcards, The PBS online video series (available online), You Tube Vietnam history videos and "America's Longest War" text.

Principles of Management - IC Flashcards only (There are many scenario and common sense questions on this test. I already had background in Organizational Leadership and theories, which made it easier) (8-10 Hours of Study)

Management Information Systems - IC Flashcards only (8-10 hours of study)

Principles of Supervision - IC Flashcards only (8-10 hours of study) *This test does have quite a bit of overlap with Principles of Management.

One further tip that I will give is that I go through the entire 300+ questions for each test and "copy/paste" the questions with answers into a word document and print them. This gives me a visual aid to read and study when I can't be online. They are sometimes 30-40 pages in length, but it really does help. I just simply go through each question, hitting enter through the answers, then highlighting, copy and paste into word.
