If this post is to be believed, it is definitely possible to bring in more than 90 CUs at WGU:

I think you could bring in 300 credits, but will WGU waive the 30 SH of Residence credits (25%)? That is the bigger question?

Credits remaining in program shows 29 for that post... So It seems like they got lots of credit towards things but they still want 29 more.

I may be able to answer this in a few days, I was split between WGU and Excelsior and was taking classes that would fit both of them. My current transcripts that got sent in for evaluation last week to WGU would be 96 CU's according to the transfer guide so I guess we'll see.

There are certain courses that WGU won't take as transfers no matter what. So each degree will have a different residency requirement, I don't think it's a set number for the school.

Residency Requirement: 30 units.

99.9% of all colleges have this 25% (30 SH) requirement except the Big 3 (3 SH). That why they are the Big 3!

Residency Requirement: 30 units.

These are specific to two different things; 1) a 2nd degree, which actually requires MORE than 30cr (25% PLUS the capstone); and 2) a RN-to-BSN. There are other degrees at WGU that have different requirements, with the number of courses required at WGU differing by program.
The BSBA in Accounting, for instance will only take 87cr. The BN Prelicensure CA degree will only take 42cr. The BS in Science Education (secondary chem) only takes 74cr.

Follow up: He had to forfeit a class to enroll, so the 90 CU limit seems to be real.

Only the Big 3 allow you to transfer in 117 of 120.

Yeah they dropped two of my GE classes that were previously covered by my AAS, that brought be back down to 90. I may see if they will let me choose which two GE I take, what was the easiest/fastest GE you took at WGU? I imagine they are all pretty simple, just curious. I'll post my evaluations in a new thread when I get my Excelsior one back.
