The University of Chicago's Master of Liberal Arts is now available fully online without the need to travel on campus.
$34,650 tuition. Not cheap, but not too steep either.

The MLA is available in official concentrations, including Ethics and Leadership. This might be a good alternative to something like Organizational Leadership.
Obviously the Master of Liberal Arts remains a polarizing degree, although the Chicago degree at least does not come with the baggage of the "Extension Studies" designation that Harvard requires students to declare on resumes. The "Leadership" concentration also adds some value to a resume.

Thanks for the share. Hard to imagine, if not working in education in Chicago, how the $34k could be worth an acceptable ROI. As alumni, there might be some placing perks; however, being online might negate that value.

If you look at the student/alumni profiles, it looks like students are already very successful in their careers.
My guess is this is meant as an "icing on the cake" or "feather on a cap" degree for those looking to cap their achievements with a masters from a prestigious university. In other words, students don't enrol in the program to become successful, they come here to put an educational stamp / branding on an already successful career.
Also, while not cheap, the tuition is not really that expensive for a University of Chicago masters degree. There are way more overpriced online masters degrees out there (looking at you, USC and NYU LOL).

All great points. Highly agree when you bring in USC. Have a good friend in their law program and each stage from undergrad to now has been in the 75k+ annually. Over 300k to pay back, so we are holding off on the celebration. She did score full tuition for this final phase of law school, so that was a great win.
One thing I did not think about is how many organizations in Chicago most likely have strong tuition programs. I did a nice intern program with MedAssets, and when being introduced to people, I was floored at how many had 2-3 masters under their belt. They all privately shared that with their free tuition program, it was a no-brainer if you enjoyed education, and the appreciation from leadership made it a win-win.

This is an outstanding find! UChicago is a top ten school. $34k is very cheap for a school of this caliber. After getting this degree you'd up for executive positions. They recently started a MS in Data Analytics as well, so I think this is now their second online degree program.
